To date, many different products – Original Ice Cream, Sorbet, Novelties and No Sugar Added Novelties -- are now officially Peanut/Nut Free.
Which Chapman's products are Gluten Free?
Chapman’s is proud of the fact that all our Original ice cream products in 2L and 4L line sizes are now gluten free so that the kid in all of us can enjoy a worry-free bowl of delicious ice cream.
Which Chapman's products are Lactose Free?
Our Sorbet line of products as well as our Fruit-flavoured SuperLollies are all fat-free, cholesterol-free and lactose-free. We are also making a line of lactose-free ice cream products.
Does Chapman's make No Sugar Added or Low Carb products?
Chapman’s No Sugar Added line of ice cream products was specifically developed to meet the needs of people on sugar-restricted and low-carb diets.

What are stabilizers used for in ice cream?
Stabilizers are used in ice cream to:

Produce smoothness in body and texture

Reduce ice crystal growth during storage

Prevent shrinkage in frozen product
The following ingredients are components of the stabilizers used in Chapman products:

Mono and Diglycerides (derived from soybeans)
-
Locust Bean Gum (derived from the locust bean plant)
-
Cellulose Gum or Methyl Cellulose Gum (derived from wood pulp)
-
Guar Gum (derived from the guar plant)
-
Carrageenan (derived from seaweed)
There are different stabilizers used for our different products. For example, only Guar Gum is used in our Superlolly’s.
All of these ingredients represent less than 0.5% of the finished product.
Chapman’s Ice Cream products are not made with any animal by-products, such as gelatin, or any animal-sourced oil or fat. Naturally, the dairy ingredients come from cows!
